Profile
Cyrus Larijani is the Nuclear Sector Strategy Lead for the National Physical Laboratory (NPL), the UK’s national measurement institute, with a strong technical and commercial background. I have a wide network of contacts in the nuclear industry both in the UK and abroad and am adept in successfully winning and delivering major contracts for sector leaders; including; Sellafield Limited, Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty Organisation, International Atomic Energy Agency, Atomic Weapons Establishment and the US Department of Energy.
Academically I have a BSc, MSc and an EngD. My BSc was in Geology at Royal Holloway, University of London. In the last year of this course I was awarded a prestigious NERC studentship to carry out an MSc in Environmental Chemistry. In October 2012, I started a Nuclear Engineering Doctorate at the University of Surrey, sponsored by NPL studying the production of a novel neptunium tracer and NORM reference materials.
