Profile

Paul A. Charp, Ph.D. has been with the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for over 35 years. During this time, he has evaluated radiological contamination in the environments around numerous hazardous waste sites including the nuclear weapons complex, uranium mining areas, and TENORM uses. He also is a part-time instructor in the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech) Nuclear and Radiological Engineering and Medical Physics Program, a Fellow of the Health Physics Society, and a member of several committees associated with radiological contamination in the environment. He currently is a senior team member of the Radiation Studies Program of the National Center for Environmental Health, CDC.
