Carlos Alberto Torres is a native of Nayarit, has a degree in Industrial Engineering from the
University of Valle de Atemajac (UNIVA).
Engineer Carlos Alberto Torres has developed an enormous experience and business
leadership throughout his life as he has worked in the tire industry, services, construction,
supply of PEMEX and lately in the production of biofuels.
With this great knowledge support, he decides to found Solutions in Naval Engineering
Marine and Terrestrial, SA de CV, of which he is its General Director and that in a short time
takes an important place in the supply for PEMEX of which it becomes its strategic ally, as
one of the winners of the PEMEX tender for the acquisition of anhydrous ethanol for mixing
with gasoline in storage and distribution terminals (TAR) of PEMEX-REFINACION. (Proof
With this project already underway in the state of Veracruz (CIPROF ENERGIES subsidiary
of SINMT) Engineer Carlos Alberto Torres, will be one of the largest national producers of
anhydrous ethanol based on energy cane by providing more than 120 million liters of this
product per year to the Country.
Convinced of the importance for Mexico and the world of the development of clean
technologies such as the production and use of bioenergy, for his contribution in the social,

was elected as president in the Association of Sustainable Energy Centrals, AC (ACES,
The Association was born in December 2016, is made up of 18 founding members, among
which are national producers of biofuels (including another winner of the proof of concept),
the academy, the automotive industry, among others.
The leadership of Eng. Carlos Alberto Torres has led this Association to be widely
recognized for its work by ITESM, IPN, UVM and ITAM and supported by the Ministries of
Agriculture, Energy, Economy and Treasury, among others.
Currently, Engineer Carlos Alberto Torres through his company and the Association
continues to strongly develop the market of bioenergy in Mexico to seek that the
BIOECONOMY is widely recognized, supported and encouraged.
