Hossam RaghebSenior Riser & Advanced Analysis Engineer at Intecsea
Hossam is Flexible Riser Engineer with over 11 years’ experience in the offshore oil and gas industry and currently holds the position of Senior Riser Engineer in INTECSEA. Hossam has previously worked on variety of flexible riser projects including ENI Coral south , Chevron Alba, BP Quad204 riser/umbilical independent verification analysis. He holds MSc in Subsea Engineering from the University of Aberdeen and currently an iPhD researcher at the University of Southampton, FSI Research Group. His research is focused on multi-scale modelling of composite risers as an enabling future technology developing simulation algorithms suitable for digital twins, the research is funded by Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC). Hossam has strong knowledge in numerical methods and high performance computational mechanics with programming experience in C++, Fortran, Python, parallelisation and GPU programming. As part of this research Hossam developed multiple high-performance computing algorithms such as RiSim, a Fortran time-domain riser simulation code that is comparable to commercial packages and Python Composite laminate theories algorithm.
