Mr. Rituparn Singh holds the position of Additional vice president of Exploration & Production and Gas Business. He joined Reliance Power Ltd in June 2008 and is responsible for Reliance Power’s Exploration & Production Business: namely monetization of Coal Bed Methane blocks including strategic tie ups and managing Joint Venture Partners [ Reliance Power Ltd with combine acreage of 3251 Sq/Kms in four CBM blocks holds the second largest CBM acreage in India]
Mr. Rituparn Singh was given the additional charge of Gas Business in September 2010. In this role, he is responsible for Strategy formulation and gas procurement efforts for Reliance Power’s Gas based Power Projects in India and abroad. Currently he is working as Business Head for Overseas Floating Storage Regassification Unit LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) Project: As part of up to 3000 MW, a ~ 3 Billion USD LNG Based Power and LNG Terminal Project., along with sourcing of LNG.
Prior to joining Reliance Power Ltd, Mr. Rituparn Singh held various positions in Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd (India’s premier NOC) in the area of, Project Management, Man Power planning, and Drilling operations, in senior capacity, spanning sixteen plus years of experience in Oil exploration and Production
Mr. Rituparn Singh is also a Director on the board of directors of Coastal Andhra Power Infrastructure Limited (CAPIL), which has participating interests in CBM blocks and Power Plants and is a subsidiary of Reliance Power Ltd.
Born on November 2nd, 1968 in Kanpur, India, Mr. Rituparn Singh received his bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from India in 1990. Further, he attended the Post Graduate Management Program for Executives and received, Post Graduate Diploma in business administration from Indian Institute of Management-Ahmadabad in March 2008.
