Laurent David

General Delegate at GIIGNL

Laurent David has been appointed General Delegate of GIIGNL in July 2023. Previously, since 2020, he had been the Head of the Strategy Department for the Gas, Renewables and Power activities in TotalEnergies. He has a long experience in the LNG as he was responsible for strategy & market analysis for the LNG portfolio of ENGIE. He joined TotalEnergies in 2018 when the company bought the LNG portfolio from ENGIE.

Previously, he had been working on gas, power and CO2 scenarios for the corporate Strategy of ENGIE. His interest in gas markets has started in 2000 with his PhD dedicated to the United Kingdom and the United States experiences of gas deregulation.
