National Grid’s Grain Terminal is the largest in Europe with a site that spans over 600 acres in total and a tank capacity of 1,000,000m3. Utilising extensive nitrogen facilities, Grain is able to process LNG from anywhere in the world and plays a key role in UK security of supply. An optimal location near the high demand centre of London, access to the liquidity offered by the NBP and the ability to meet over 20% of UK gas demand makes Grain the terminal of choice for global players. Building on current unparalleled safety, reliability and efficiency, Grain’s future plans include investments in further capacity, the launch of a break-bulk facility, expansion of truck loading bays and the introduction of other new services such as transhipments. Grain LNG is committed to supporting the energy needs of the future through being an innovative, socially responsible business.
