Rick Jacobi is the owner and principal consultant at Jacobi Consulting. He is a Licensed Nuclear Engineer and a member of the State Bar of Texas. For sixteen years, Rick was the General Manager of the Texas Low-Level Radioactive Waste Disposal Authority, where he led the quest to build a low-level radioactive waste disposal facility in Texas. He now provides technical and regulatory assistance to domestic and international companies on the management of radioactive material and nuclear facilities. He holds a Bachelor of Science and Master of Engineering in Nuclear Engineering from Texas A&M University and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the South Texas College of Law at Houston. Rick is a member of the Health Physics Society and the Texas Mining and Reclamation Association. He is the 2012 recipient of the Richard S. Hodes Honor Lecture Award for innovation in radioactive waste management.
