Twenty five years of RCRA Subtitle D regulatory and permitting experience. Supervisor of the Montana DEQ Solid Waste Section for the past 15 years, with oversight of three statutorily mandated waste management and materials management programs for the state of Montana. Solid Waste\Materials Management member of the Association of Territorial and State Waste Management Officials (ATSWMO), currently serving on the Radiation Task Force. From 2002 to 2006 served on the Interstate Technology Regulatory Council (ITRC) Alternative Landfill Cover, Bioreactor, and Landfill Post Closure Care Evaluation teams.
Prior to my current tenure at the MT DEQ, I was an environmental health specialist with Ravalli County in south west Montana for two years. My duties with the county included solid waste regulatory oversight and ground water monitoring and site evaluations for subdivisions and new residential construction.
I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Bio-Geography and completed one year of graduate level in work Rural, Urban and Town Planning, Hydrology Emphasis, at the University of Montana.
