Reinout StormManager, Drilling & Wells at TAQA Energy
Reinout Storm did study Civil Engineering at the Technical University of Delft. Following an internship at the rock dumping vessel “Sandpiper” at Boskalis AS in Norway and a Master Thesis project at Jacobs Nederland B.V. titled “Re-use of Obsolete Jacket Structures for Carrying a Wind Turbine” Reinout graduated as a Master of Science in Offshore Engineering. He started his career in 2005 as a Well Site Drilling Engineer for Shell. After completion of his Round I and Round II training and exams he worked 2 years as Planning & Design Engineer in the NAM office. In 2009 he joined TAQA as Well Engineer working on the preparation of the Gas Storage Bergermeer project combined with the drilling of onshore wells. After a short assignment as Night Drilling Supervisor for TAQA in Canada, he returned to the Netherlands as onsite Drilling Supervisor at the Gas Storage Bergermeer project followed by a Senior Well Engineer position responsible for the drilling of offshore wells. Since 2015 Reinout is the Drilling & Wells manager for TAQA Energy, responsible for all Well related activities (Well Services, Well Integrity, Designs, Workovers, Decommissioning and Construction) for TAQA in the Netherlands. Besides his Well related tasks he is Decommissioning Manager, responsible for the preparation and execution of the onshore Bergen Concession Decommissioning.
