Theo VollaardBusiness Development at The Offshore Partners B.V.
Theo Vollaard started his maritime career at sea and sailed on a variety of ship types including, tankers, heavy-lift and offshore vessels. After 8 years at sea he signed off in 2008 to start working ashore, at the Royal Netherlands Shipowners Association (KVNR). At the KVNR he advocated the shipowner’s (technical) interests in various UN, EU and other (non)-governmental bodies. Furthermore, he was actively involved in the development of new (global) maritime rules and regulations and the implementation of such treaties at a national level.
From 2011 till 2017 he worked with an offshore service provider where he was involved in worldwide business development activities and the exploration of new markets, including offshore decommissioning. Over the years he gained experience in the offshore decommissioning market by actively engaging in the market as a contractor and by doing research*.
Since 2018 he works with The Offshore Partners where he does business and product development also in the field of offshore decommissioning.
