Håkon JentoftSenior Executive Officer at EUROCITIES & Agency for Waste Management City of Oslo
Håkon Sandven Jentoft has been engaged in waste management for more than 30 years. During this career, he has been employed as a civil servant at the Ministry of Environment, in the Environmental Protection Agency, in a private waste management company and in the association Waste Management Norway as managing director for 6 years. Since 2013, he has had a position within the City of Oslo, Agency for Waste Management as responsible for international contact.
As managing director of Waste Management Norway, Håkon was one of the initiators of the European association Municipal Waste Europe and had a seat in the Policy Committee for 5 years. Since 2013, he has been the chair of EUROCITIES working group on waste. And since January 2017, on behalf of the City of Oslo, he has been the coordinator of the EU Urban Agenda Partnership on Circular Economy.
