Stuart graduated with a degree in Physics from Durham University, before starting as a trainee in Medical Physics at Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge in 1997. He specialised in radiation protection and has worked within the East Anglian Regional Radiation Protection Service (EARRPS) at Addenbrookes for over 20 years. Stuart is a certified Radiation Protection Adviser (RPA) and Radioactive Waste Adviser (RWA). He is also on the RPA2000 list of recognised Medical Physics Experts (MPE), and provides advice in the area of diagnostic radiology (X-ray).
EARRPS provides radiation protection and diagnostic radiology support services throughout East Anglia, and operates in accordance with an ISO9001 accredited Quality System. EARRPS also has HSE certification to act as an RPA Body. EARRPS customers include both NHS hospitals and private establishments such as vets, dentists, schools, colleges and research labs. The service advises X-ray, optical radiation and radioactive substance users.
Stuart has experience in most areas of the Service’s activities, including providing advice on legislative compliance and best practice to users of both ionising and non-ionising radiation.
