John Stansfield has been employed as an Analyst/Trader with Group Sopex in London for the last 5 years. Prior to joining Group Sopex he has worked for a number of Trade Houses and Hedge Funds both in London and New York. He started his career in 1988 as an Agricultural Economist at the HGCA in London covering the UK grains and oilseeds market. He graduated from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne with a BSc (Hons) in Agricultural Economics. He is a fundamentalist that believes that markets are driven by the laws of supply and demand and as a result spends the majority of his time analysing trade flow data.
