M.K. Balaji is an investment and asset management professional with over twenty five years of experience in deal sourcing, structuring and negotiations, startups and setting up business sectors, and advising C-Level management of portfolio companies during project development, startups, turnarounds, operations, construction and managing P&L and financing.

As a skilled investment analyst and diversified project manager he has worked in several Board level/C-Level assignments. In this work, he worked directly with developers and investors to create a strong deal pipeline throughout his network in South and Southeast Asia and provided strategies for strengthening business plans. He has created and sustained relationships with financial stakeholders such as local banks and international finance institutions to support the fundraising for several projects.

He has managed large and complex EPC contracts within stipulated timelines and budgets. As a trained engineer, he has handled multiple projects from concept to commissioning in a profitable manner by creating an appropriate framework of execution and management.

He is currently the Chief of Party of USAID-PFAN Asia program, implemented by Deloitte Consulting and manages the project that helps clean energy project developers to get funding for their projects by provide mentoring support and technical assistance.
