Carsten Poppinga has been working in the energy industry since 2001. Prior to assuming his position as CCO of Uniper, he was the Managing Director of Statkraft Markets GmbH in Germany (2008-2011) and OMV Trading GmbH in Vienna (2011-2014). Additionally, he held the role of Vice President Proprietary Trading at Statkraft Markets GmbH in Germany (2015-2017) and assumed the function of Senior Vice President Trading & Origination Europe and USA in 2017 until 2023
