The EPR Toolkit Seminar
EPR has been vaguely defined and guidelines and rules for Member States had been missing to help ensure a level playing field throughout Europe. This has hopefully now changed with the approval of the Circular Economy Package with a proposal for a revised Waste Framework Directive and for a revised Packaging and Packaging Waste Directive.
The EPR Toolkit Seminar will address the hot topics of this new legislation, especially Art 8 a WFD nV for European EPR systems which the Member States will now have to implement into national legislation.
Key topics will likely include:
- How will the new general requirements for EPR effect the existing PRO’s?
- What consequences will obliged industry have to face?
- How should and will the EPR fees been “modulated” taking into account recyclability and other conditions?
- How should the independent authority overlooking competition amongst PRO’s should be designed?
