Clemens is Novozymes’ Director of Future Fuels & Chemicals, Digital & Transformation based in North Carolina. Together with the Novozymes team, Clemens is developing and commercializing biosolutions that enable the future advanced biorefineries, which in turn are essential to drive the energy transition towards carbon-neutrality, especially in hard-to-abate sectors. He previously held several senior management roles in marketing and strategy at Novozymes. Previously, Clemens worked at Clariant as the Business Development Manager for cellulosic biofuels and was a Senior Associate at McKinsey & Company, where he served clients across the chemicals sector. Clemens holds a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Washington in Seattle and is a certified agile practitioner.
